This print was part of a series of three engravings inspired by Laurence Sterne's book of 1768, 'A Sentimental Journey', and from the 1946 motion film of that title starring Maureen O'Hara.

This is a perfectly-printed print signed by the artist and supplied mounted by the artist on a temporary white card (marked in a few places).
It is a fine example of design and the engraving skills of James Bostock, showing a stylised scene in which shadow, material and other objects are presented using a range of cutting techniques.
